Police: Hot dog vendor also offered sex to customers

MYFOXNY.COM -

Catherina Scalia, 45, is accused of asking men if they’d like a side of sex with their hot dog. She allegedly ran the whole operation out of a camper, police said.

Nassau County police say Scalia sold hot dogs to help feed her other business — prostitution. Cops say Scalia parked her hot dog trailer on Sunrise Highway in Baldwin. Police say after they received complaints, undercover cops investigated and spotted these business cards advertising sexual acts.

Police say there was never any sex inside the trailer and that Scalia worked alone.

But this isn’t the first time customers have complained about her. Cops arrested her for the exact same thing back in 2004.

Neighbors said Scalia shares her East Rockaway home with her parents. Neighbors say they often saw men going in and out.
