Forty men and one woman face a slew of charges following a major Florida operation targeting people who use the Internet to arrange sexual encounters with children. Texas snake expert caught at DFW Airport with snakes hidden in jacket. A Tyler snake expert pleaded guilty in federal court Tuesday to smuggling seven Peruvian snakes into the United States by concealing them underneath his jacket. William Lamar, 63, was caught with the snakes in August at Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport. He had purchased the snakes at a market in Lima, Peru, and flew with them in his jacket to Miami and then to DFW, where a Transportation Security Administration officer found them while Lamar was trying to board a commuter flight to Tyler. A Florida man allegedly attempted to murder his sleeping wife Friday, but succeeded only in breaking his own neck. Steven Pinel, 49, allegedly shot his wife in the face at around 11:49 as she slept in their Bradenton home.
